Ohoopee Buckthorn Bumelia species (undescribed)

A low, thorny shrub generally less than 30 cm tall, this plant is limited to five counties in southeast Georgia. It grows in sub-xeric longleaf pine-scrub oak sandhill, and persists in some clearcut sites.

Development and intensive site preparation are the major threats to this shrub.
