Florida Privet Forestiera segregata (Jacq.) Krug & Urban

This evergreen shrub has shiny-green opposite leaves; which are diamond-shaped, blunt-tipped and sessile. It is limited to coastal thickets, hammocks, and shell middens from the West Indies to South Carolina. One population is known from the study area, on a barrier island shell midden.

Development is the primary threat to this plant throughout its range.
